Coordinate System Commands

Introduction

Geomet provide several commands to create, recall and transform coordinate systems. In addition to the commands available, there are visual aids to assist and file utilities. Please select from the command structure shown here to obtain additional information.

Coordinate System Creation and Transformation Commands
ICS→PCS Interim Coordinate System to Part Coordinate System.
Orient Establishes the Primary Datum.
Align Establishes the Secondary Datum.
Offset Align Establishes the Secondary Datum through a nominal offset distance from one feature while pivoting through a second.
Pivot Align Establishes a Secondary Datum that passes through the current PCS Origin and through a valid feature.
Origin Establishes the Tertiary Datum.
Rotate Rotate an existing Coordinate System about a specified axis.
Translate Moves the current Coordinate System by a entered relative XYZ offset, or by a measured XYZ value.
Edit a Translate Command Change the entered XYZ Translation value on a pre-existing Translate Feature.

Coordinate System Management

Recalling previous defined PCS / MCS.

Fixture Coordinate System Manager (FCS).
