  Definition
The updating of size and location of the stylus is accomplished with the Re-Qualify command which by default uses the results of a single measured reference sphere. Geomet can also update the size and location with the average of 2 or more sets of results using the Re-Qualify Averaging tool.
  Stylus Re-Qualify

To use averaging, create a Re-Qualify feature as outlined in Re-Qualify a Stylus.
  Step 1

Highlight the Re-Qualify step in the inspection report by left-clicking over it. Launch the sub-menu using the right-click of your mouse. A menu appears as shown as right. Select "Re-qualify Setup Parameters".

NOTE: The Re-Qualify Averaging tool does not have a main menu access command.

  Step 2

The Re-Qualify Setup and Review tool appears providing data fields to enter tolerance limits and cycle count information.

In the "ReQual Parameters" group enter the tolerance bands for:

  • Nominal Size
  • Form
  • Position Delta

To complete the setup, enter the number of cycles Geomet should use during the Re-qualify process.

Save the changes to the Re-qualify feature by committing the changes with the <Ok> command.

  During Execution

During the inspection run, Geomet will report the number of cycles in the prompt area and display the results of each complete cycle in the report area. The individual results are not shown in the report, only the average results with each cycle completed. Re-Qualify capture points

  Reviewing the Results

To view the results of each cycle, return to the Re-qualify Setup Parameters tools as described in Step 1

The results are shown as a tree structure in the right. You can open the individual results by left-clicking on the plus symbol.

The results show the original values for size and location and then the individual results of each cycle. There are no tools provided to manage individual results.

To save the results always perform a Save or Save-As of the full inspection results.

To clear the saved results, press the <Clear db> button.

  Notes

The Re-qualify Averaging tool does not have the sections "Size Trend" and "Analysis" active. These sections are to be released in future version of Geomet.

  Report Tools and Exporting

To export the average results is accomplished using the Feature Attribute Tags tool. The Re-qualify results are:

  • Position Delta
  • Diameter
  • Form (Geo Tol)
