Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

Search Text -> "pcs example"

finds documents containing "pcs" or "example"

Search Text -> "pcs or example"

same as above

Search Text -> "pcs and example"

finds documents containing both "pcs" and "example"

Search Text -> "pcs not example"

finds documents containing "pcs" but not "example"

Search Text -> "(pcs not mcs) and "Stylus"

finds documents containing "Stylus", plus "pcs" but not "mcs"

Search Text -> "web*" (wild cards)

finds documents containing words starting with "web"
